Welcome to Blwyddyn 3/4

At Ysgol Bryn Gwalia the four purposes of the new curriculum for Wales are at driving force of our teaching and learning.  Through a broad and balanced curriculum, we enable all pupils to be:

* Ambitious, capable learners ready to learn throughout their lives

* Enterprising, creative contributors ready to play a full part in life and work

* Ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world

* Healthy, confident individuals ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society

We have been focusing on our Cynefin project focusing on Patagonia to Wales the journey.  This has been an immersive experience and we have enjoyed developing our teamwork skills.

Reading is a focus and we have been using Accelerated Reader to support us.  This programme is enjoyable and has a positive impact upon our individual reading skills. We also have time for reading for pleasure which encourages us to enjoy reading and instils a love for reading to take us into our later life.  We have enjoyed looking at the Mabinogian.

PE kits need to be in school they consist of a white t'shirt, black joggers or shorts and trainers.  Water bottles are encouraged to be in school daily too.
