General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is European legislation aimed at providing greater safeguards for the use of individual’s personal information, how it is obtained, processed and used. It came in to effect on 25.05.18. Schools have a Data Controller (the Governing Body) and Ysgol Bryn Gwalia's named Data Protection Officer is David Bridge, GDPR Consultancy.
