Early Years Young Explorers Spring Term 2019
This half term our class is continuing with the Magical theme.
Last half term Our Mantle of The Experts commision was to re create some magic for a class of children. We have completed our task for our client Mary Poppins by producing a video for Years 1 and 2 to watch which showed all the magic we created in our Science and Digital work before half term. We are looking forward to showing this lovely video for our parents in the next few weeks.
Also, Mrs Coulton has made a digital book showing the highlights from our trip to Green field valley. We will be able to share this with everyone soon.
This half term we have welcomed some new children to join our Nursery and they are settling in very well and enjoying exploring and learning in the Areas of Learning both inside and outside the classroom.
This half term our topic has been all about the Enchanted Forest. We have a lovely Forest area within our class where we sit around the pretend campfire.
Our Mantle of the Experts work this half term concerned a poor little fox cub who was stuck in a trap, we set him free and have looked after him in our wildlife hospital. Since then we have a number of sick soft toy animal patients to attend to each day in class. We are hoping that the fox cub’s Mum will come to find him soon.
The children and staff had a great time in the forest with Gemma the Forest school leader. Nursery planted sunflower seeds and Reception made Bog babies after listening to the story. All the children enjoyed toasting marshmallows on the open fire afterwards.
